Well, my baby is almost one year old! Where has the time gone? I swear I just had him. It really doesn't seem that long ago that I was up 17 times a night peeing and wondering when the sharp pain in my toosh would go away, how much longer did I have to be pregnant, really?? But now he has survived his first year. Even though the kid has been sick more than he has been well in his blessed little life, he is quite possibly the cutest, sweetest, most mellow little fellow in the world. He is my little buddy. The other kids are in school all day, so it is just me and Cole. If I could just figure out how to keep him from getting into every single cupboard, drawer, plant or garbage can we have, I would probbably swear a lot less!
I think because he is our last baby, I am trying to savor every last morsel of him. I was looking at pictures last night of the other two rugrats, and I know it is cliche but it seems only like yesterday they were doing these same things. My how time flies. So, it is my new resolution to enjoy my children for who and what they are. Start induldging in the moment a little more. Soon, they won't want to talk to me EVERY single minute, they won't want my opinion or my advice. So, hopefully I will be able to enjoy all of them, before they are grown and gone! Peace out! Emily

It's official...
Here you are...
Just so you know...
I'm not neglectful of posting on this blog... I usually post on our blog (masonite.blogspot.com) . So, if you really miss me, visit me there.
But the family blog is cool too. I guess I just don't have that much to say.
Stop being cold. No more snow. Can't spring break be warm? For the love of all that is holy!!
But, my tulips are blooming (first year). Even if they are covered with snow and frost.

Spring Break bliss (#@*&%)
Hello all, I do hate to move those fabulous pictures down a little, but it must be done. The kids are officially on Spring Break. I remember loving spring break as a kid, thinking it was a gift from heaven. However, as a mother, my opinion has changed. I do think it is a necessary break for the kids and they love a break from the routine that school brings, but I HATE it. Only because I am a self admitted schedule-aholic. I like things to fit nicely and neetly into my day planner and I need to know when things begin and end. AARGH! The first "I'm boared" happenned at 8:00 on Monday morning. You heard me. I love my children, but they do well on a schedule too. They thrive actually. So to have 5 days of unscheduled hell before me, makes me start to twitch.
I actually tried to make it a fun day yesterday. We had a picnic and "fed" the ducks at Salem pond. I say that because so did everyone else in South Utah County. The ducks who usually chase you around the park were bloated and unresponsive from all the cheap white WalMart bread in their guts. But we had fun none the less.
Today, well it's windy and cold. No fun today. I have hair appointments all day, because I scheduled not remembering that it was the "BREAK". So they're BOARED and tired of watching Cole. So, no more complaining and we are going to make the rest of this week great!!!! Can you hear the sarcasm? I can't wait until summer.....
But, good news! We have offically purchased our first set of couches in 10 years of marriage. In fact, I don't know that we have actually purchased any furniture. We are the hand-me-down family. Which is fine with me, because what we do have is kid-proof. We bought these really fun brown rustic leather looking microfiber couches. They were supposed to look fabulous in our rustic basement. That is if they would have fit downstairs. So, now we have new couches upstairs where we don't sit and don't use that room and the old couches downstairs. Rustic and 80's floral go together, right? Anyway, wherever they are, they are mine and they are new and I love them. A little too much probbably. Oh well, I will post a picture later to show you how fabulous they are.
Enough bitching for now, I'll write more when I have my schedule back!
