Am I The Only One???
I just watched Napoleon Dynamite for the first time ever. Pretty sure I'm the only one on the planet that hadn't seen it. Didn't love it. Maybe I was not in the right mood, kind of thought it was boaring and lame. Gosh.

The Main Reason I LOVE The wii
I know the second picture is blurry, but I was trying to be sneaky. Louis was playing wii sports boxing for like 30 minutes, not kidding. Boxing his little heart out. I came downstairs, and his cheeks were all bright red, sweating and breathing heavy! It was the cutest thing ever!! Seriously, though, my shoulder is sore from wii tennis. Do you think you can get tennis elbow from the wii? Just wondering if it's a legit injury?! (Oh and by the way, I am undefeated in boxing, tennis and baseball, any takers???)

Help Us Save The Polar Bears

As I was sitting here tonight, doing plenty of good, productive, non-lazy things (i.e. blogging, facebook and checking email) the kids were watching Annie, that we DVR'd a few days ago. All of the sudden they come running in, sobbing. AAAH! What happened? "Mom, (sob, sniffle) you have to call that number on the screen!!!" I'm thinking the t.v. stopped working or the dish went out. So, I said what number? "The one that will help to save (sniffle, sob) the baby polar bears!" Heh? "Baby polar bears are dying, (serious tears and crying by now) and if we don't send money in they'll be (blubber) EXTINCT!" Okay. Seriously. "But, they'll send you a picture of the bear that you help, PLEASE (sob, sob, sob)!" Ooops, wrong reaction. I started laughing. They cried even harder. It took me 10 minutes to calm them down, and to assure them that we would look into it and talk about it later. Now that they are calmly watching Annie again! I can explain myself. Now, I am all for saving the animals (whales, manitees, polar bears etc.) but, when they put it on the kids channels, just to get to their sensitive little hearts, make them cry to their parents with this heart-wrenching story and sad music in the background. Seriously. Oh well.... I promised. I'm off to research saving the polar bears. Maybe if I save up my Diet Pepsi money each week......nah! Maybe we can sell hot chocolate!!

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
Well, here's the report. We had a fabulous Christmas! We are so blessed and lucky. We have wonderful family and friends and are richly blessed, beyond words. We feel so grateful for all that we have and can hardly believe all the things we enjoy in life, and hopefully do not take for granted! Hope you all had a great holiday!
Christmas Eve was spent with part of my family. We had a yummy dinner, played a few games and the kids (plus Chris and Greg) acted out the nativity. It was a really nice, quiet evening. Perfect.
Have you seen a cuter Mary and Joseph (and baby Jesus)
Rockin' wise guys. Thanks Chris and Greg for stepping in!! Cam made a cute lone shepheard!!
The nativity crew~
Louis was like this all night, it doesn't take much to entertain him. We always knew where to find him!
Seriously, even with additude, the cutest angel EVER!!
Christmas morning, wonderful!! The kids slept in until 7. Well, maybe not slept, but we wouldn't let them get up until then!!!
Here they are with some of the fun things they got!
Wearing the aprons mom made for them. They love to help me cook, silly, I know, but they loved them!!
Seriously, my favorite gift of the morning. All he wanted was his two front teeth. It's a binky that I found at Funfinity. I was laughing when I bought it, and I'm laughing still!!
We all had fun with it, no wonder we're all sick...
Cole enjoying Kennedy's new bike helmet~
Oh yeah, they got a wii from Grandma Linda and Peter and uncle Russell and aunt Traci. Lucky ducks. BTW, so freakin' fun. And, I knocked Ross out in boxing, I'm just saying!!!
Seriously, what's with the face??
Colie having fun in his new toy.
All of us chillin' in the jammie pants I made! Yes! Finally, a project finished, and they actually fit!!!
Ross' parents and their spouses joined us for breakfast, we had yummy food and lots more fun gifts!!

Holy Post of Longness!! (Sorry)
Well, I've been so busy getting all of my "homemade Christmas" ready, that I haven't had time to blog. I'm sure you have all been disappointed and waiting for this with baited breath!! So, here you go. It is going to be in reverse order, because I'm annoyed with my computer right now and don't want to rearrange all of the photos! So, deal!!
Last night was the annual "Don and Tonya Christmas Party". We all get together every year on the 23rd and have dinner, games, Santa and open gifts. We always have fun and this year was much the same!!
Here is Cole trying to open someone else's gift!!
Always a little awkward when the grown men have to sit on Santa's lap!!
KK and Santa
Big Lou with his newly shaven head!!
Cole playing with the sword that Santa gave him!!

Ross took the kids out tubing the other day, pulling them behind the 4-wheeler! He took Cole for just a short little ride. He looks like "AChristmas Story" relived!!!!
Poor thing, he couldn't even move!
The kids had a musical Christmas program on the 17th, the same night Louis had his big wrestling tournament. So, as you'll see in the pictures, everyone in Louis' class was supposed to wear a red shirt, well, we came screaming in the door about 12 seconds before his class went on stage, and he still had on his wrestling clothes!!! Thanks heavens he wasn't wearing a wrestling singlet. That would have been embarrassing for all parties involved!!
Colie, wearing grandma's gloves for socks!! Whatever it takes to get him to sit still!!!!!!!
KK performing the sign language to a song from Polar Express and then they sang Winter Wonderland. She is such a performer! It's kind of funny when even people that don't know and love her tell you how great she is! She was born to be on stage!
Louis with his wrestling medal. He was supposed to wrestle 3 matches in the tourney. He dominated them!! The first two, he not only won, but he pinned them!! I don't know how much you know about wrestling, but for a first year wrestler, that is huge! Everyone got a medal, but not everyone got a gold medal! He took first place!!!! Way to go Lou, we are so proud of you!
This is a really bad picture, but can you tell he's wearing his wrestling clothes, he was so embarrassed, luckily the boy next to him wore a blue sweater, so they felt dumb together! He loves to sing as well, he did a really great job. He sang, He'll Be Coming Down the Chimney (to the tune of She'll Be Coming Around the Mountain) Super cute!!
Well, I forgot to post a picture of Kennedy's birthday cake! I always try to do something fun for them, but this year I was coming up blank! I couldn't figure out how to make East High out of yellow cake and frosting, so this is what she got!!!

A Kurt Bestor Christmas
Every year as part of our Christmas gift, my mother in law takes us to see Kurt Bestor. It has become a really fun tradition and something that I look forward to every year! This year it happened to fall on the day of the huge snow storm. Yippee! Driving to Salt Lake, during rush hour, in a snow storm, on frozen roads, with my sometimes scary driving father in law! Good times!! But, we arrived safely and had a great time. He put on a fabulous show, as always! Thanks Linda for a fun evening!!
Isn't he precious??
Kennedy's Chrismtas Dance Recital
Kennedy had her Christmas Dance Recital last night! Seriously, so cute! Each class did an excerpt from the Nutcracker. Never having seen it, it was just a bunch of cute dances to me! Kennedy's class did the Flute Dance. She is so graceful. Seriously, some girls got it, some don't. She got it! She hasn't taken dance classes in like 3 years, but after tonight, we are definitley getting her into something. The classes were Kindergarten through Eighth grade. She was the best dancer by far. She was the only one in all of the dances who didn't have to stop and look at someone else or miss a step or something like that. But, hey, I'm not biased at all!!!

Cute Toes

Christmas Greetings
I read this story on a friends blog and it really hit home. Sometimes we all get caught up in the commercial side of Christmas. Maybe it's time we take a step back, and remember what it's all about!!
This morning I heard a story on the radio of a woman who was out Christmas shopping with her two children; after many hours of looking at row after row of toys and everything else imaginable, she finally made it to the elevator with her two kids. She was feeling what so many of us feel during the holiday season time of the year - overwhelming pressure. Finally the elevator doors opened and there was already a crowd in the car. She pushed her way into the car and dragged her two kids in with her and all the bags of stuff. When the doors closed she couldn't take it anymore and stated, "Whoever started this whole Christmas thing should be found, and taken out." From the back of the car everyone heard a quiet, calm voice respond, "There’s no need, We already crucified him." For the rest of the trip down the elevator it was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop.Don't forget this year to keep the One who started this whole Christmas thing in your every thought, deed, purchase, and word.

Par-tay
Well, it's official. She's nine! Yeowzah! When did that happen? I can not believe I'm old enough to have a 9 year old. Whew.
For KK's party, she decided to invite 3 friends and we let her choose any restaurant she wanted to go to for dinner. Bad idea. She has her mother's taste. She chose Tepanyaki! Yum $$$$ But, that's what she wanted, so we went. She invited the 3 cutest girls ever. They were all so polite and well behaved and thanked us numerous times for letting them come and for the yummy food. For little kids, they were good eaters and not picky at all. They were really great. Although, we kept getting funny looks. One baby, one 6 year old boy and 4 girls, all about the same age, and looking nothing alike! It was kind of funny!
Seriously, though. What else is there for a little boy to do with chop sticks?
It was so fun to watch them. They had so much fun and were amazed by the "show". They were all clapping and cheering, so cute!!
Even Cole got excited to watch the chef throw stuff around and watching the flames was his favorite!!
Getting ready to rumble!!
Birthday girl
Saturday was her actual birthday. She requested "Popeye Pancakes" for breakfast.
Her birthday present. She has been dying for a new bike. Her only request. That it peddle backwards. She's not hard to please. Notice this yard in this picture.
This was 1 1/2 hours later. In true Kennedy fashion, a snow storm on her birthday! Love you sis. Happy day!

So, after yummy dinner, off we went to Fat Cat's for bowling. ON A FRIDAY NIGHT! HELP ME!! Actually, it wasn't bad at all and the kids loved it! Although, I think if I would have brought $5 in quarters and let them play in the arcade, they would have been just as happy and it would have been a whole lot cheaper!
