Halloween Party

A few weeks ago we had a few friends over for an adult costume party. It really was fun. It was one of those things where you had 9 million people you wanted to invite but had to only choose a few....kind of stinks :) But we had a good time and laughed a lot!!

Popeye and Olive Oyl

A big baby and a nasty late 80's early 90's girl.

Some chubby people

Jailbird and Judge Marker

Princess Lea and Han Solo

Our biker babes

After we had dinner we played a rousing round of "The Newlywed Game". Funny. Not too many fights, I think every one's marriage left in tact!!

After that we had to break out the donut eating game. Seriously, there's nothing funnier!

His costume was just, awesome....

Girls eating donuts and karma getting Machiel!!!

I almost won but my bangs kept getting in the way!!
To top off the evening we decided on a game of wii shuffleboard. Sounds geriatric. Actually super fun!!

Jami concentrating...using the force.

Cheerleading section

Machiel was concentrating so hard. It was hilarious! Thanks guys for a fun evening!!

All Things Pumpkin

I had the chance to go with Cole on a field trip to the Red Barn for Preschool. We got to go on a hay ride and pick out a pumpkin and at the end they always give the kiddos one of their famous donuts....love them!!

(Dude. I look so old here. Wrinkles and lines and bad hair oh my.)

The tractor was WAY more interesting than the pumpkin patch or the maze.

The kiddos and I have started a fun tradition of painting our pumpkins. It's safe, they can do it themselves and it doesn't involve me getting my hands all pumpkin gutty. It's a win win.

Cole painted this all by himself. I thought it was adorable.

All sorts of goodness :)
A while ago I purchased some passes to Cornbelly's from our scout auction. So we decided to use them over fall break. I figured everyone else in the county would be there as well, but sometimes you just gotta suck it up and git er done. We actually got there early and it wasn't super busy yet. We played on a few of the things and decided to head into the corn maze. Uh, really? Really? Corn mazes are the stupidest, most annoying things ever. People go ahead of you and make all of these short cuts through the stalks of corn so it looks like a path. Well, let's just say about an hour later, three kids crying, me yelling and sweat pouring off of all of us, we finished it and swore we would never enter another corn maze again. Seriously. Ruined my day. I was so annoyed by that point that we just left. No more fun for us. I'll show you corn maze.

Obviously this was "pre maze". See the smiles?

*love*

I think I might have already posted this picture. But as I was getting ready to update, I was looking through my pictures and passed this one again. I just love it. I love what it means to me and to Louis. It was a rough year. I don't know if anyone but us will understand how much we all grew because of this experience we called "football". It was emotionally, physically and mentally challenging for Louis and I. We learned a lot about ourselves and each other. I love him and am just bursting with pride at the awesome, sweet, tender, tough little dude he is becoming. This picture is something that I will always treasure. Also, I am enormously grateful that the 2 hours of rain didn't ruin my hair too much to ruin the picture ;)
