Californ-i-a

So it's over. We did it. We're back and we all survived. Barely.

Next time I think driving 11 hours with three (four) kids is a great idea. Slap me, please.

First stop. Oceanside. For an all-too-brief stop at the beach.

The kids loved it and it was a beautiful evening!!
San Diego the next morning to hit Sea World.

We took Ross' Aunt Carol along for the fun. She was a good sport. She's 72 and walked 700 miles a day with us and kept right up. She did all of the fun rides and was fun to have around!

Waiting for the 3-d Elmo movie. I think we saw five 3-d movies that week. ENOUGH ALREADY!!

You will have to click to enlarge this picture but it's pure awesomeness. The kids had just sat down and loved being in the "Soak Zone". They were drenched. Beyond drenched. I think it took Kennedy's shoes three days to dry out!! But it was fun to watch them. Notice how NO ONE IS SITTING AROUND THEM. DUH.!!

Soaked I tell you.

Couldn't get enough of the water!

I loved this bird. I couldn't stop staring at it. It was so awesome!!

Colie trying to pet the Bat Ray's.

We went to dinner at this fun Mexican place and they had a guy making balloon things. He was a weird duck but my children were totally entertained by him. He made Cole this awesome hat!! It has a built in cell phone :)

KK's hat

Carol's bird and Louis' teddy bear
On to Disneyland!
If only you knew how much Cole was in heaven at this point. Love.

It's the gigantic woman with the little people.

The classic Bug Eyes picture.

Ross, Louis and Kennedy just before the Screamer takes off....Louis is in full panic mode.

On our way to watch World of Color. If I remember correctly it was pretty cool. My eyeballs were frozen by that point, but it seemed awesome.

It was so.so.so.cold. We had to stand in our spot for an hour to get a good view. We were frozen. I don't know if I have ever been that cold ever. It took me like two days to thaw. Seriously. I shiver right now thinking of how cold it was.

Grandpa, grandma and our cousins had been to Disneyland a week before so they hid a note for us to find!! It was fun for the kids to look for it.

Crazy kid. I was offering people left and right hundreds of dollars for their "child leashes". Nobody was giving them up. I went to Target and Walmart to buy one. None to be found. I was so tempted to buy a dog leash and clip it to his pants. (Ross' suggestion) Something seemed cruel about that. But give me a teddy bear backpack with a leash and I'm game.

The stupid Roger Rabbit ride. I forgot how much I hated it. Ugh.

Love this.

I knew the kids would love this. The "Jedi Training Academy". But I was doubtful that they would both get picked. I was so relieved when they did. They loved it. Kennedy was very serious about it. She was very "in character". It was awesome!

Playing Rock Band. Me failing miserably. But it was fun!
Good times. Loved it but glad to be home. Fun memories and bonding time with the kiddos.
