Guess What I Got??

Yea!! My blog book finally came. Actually it came a few weeks ago, but I am finally posting pics of it. Just thought I would let you all know what I loved about it and what I didn't!!

Wahoo!!

I love that you can put a picture on the front of it and there were tons of cute cover designs!! The one thing I would change is I would have gone through the layout and fixed some of the funny things. Like on some of the pages it had words along side of the pictures like this:
we h
ad so
muc
h fun!
It bugged a little bit. But all in all I love it! I forgot to take a pic of the inside but oh well! It reminds me of a yearbook a little bit. Hard cover and yearbook type pages. I am so glad I did it and am going to do it again soon! I am doing 6 months at a time to make it more affordable! This one cost me about 30 bucks. But the nice thing is after you are on their mailing list they send you coupons a lot for like 20 percent off your next order and those kinds of things! Hope you try it. This is my feeble attempt at "journaling" so now I have a permenant record of it! So glad I found it. There are a few places now that do it, but I did it at www.blog2print.com Let me know what you think and if you have any questions!!

Another GEM from Lou

Ross: Louis, you better start being a good helper if you want to go to Disneyland.

Louis: Dad, I don't really want to go to Disneyland. It's for kids and well...I'm kind of a man now!

WHAT? You give the kid an award in school and he thinks he's a man! HA!

Who???

Who is the most outstanding student in Mrs. Frampton's first grade class?????

You guessed it! Louis Michael!! I'm so stinkin' proud of this little kiddo I could spit! If you could see where we started this year and where we're ending. You wouldn't believe it! He's such an amazing kid. He truly is kind, considerate, tender, eager to learn and loves to be helpful! He's turned into such a great kid! I can't believe it. He had no idea he was getting this award. His teacher tipped us off so we could make sure to be there for the awards assembly. He was surprised and embarrassed! It was darling. All day he's been pointing out ways that he is "outstanding"! It's hard to grow up with a sibling who is always excelling and loves the spotlight. It was really fun for him to be the one in the spotlight today! He deserved it! WTG Lou!!! (by the way, only one student from every class got this award ;)) I can't believe he's going to be in 2nd grade. I remember 2nd grade. Mrs. Bugg's class. That's another story for another time....

3rd Grade Graduation

Kennedy had her 3rd grade graduation today! Doesn't she look cute??

Receiving her diploma from Mrs. Nielson and Mr. Hartman. Thanks for a great year guys! I can't believe she's movin' on up to 4th grade... scary!!

What a cutie. I'm so proud of her. She is such a smart girl. She has grown up so much this year. It's so fun to see your kids grow up to become wonderful little people. I couldn't do it without the wonderful teachers they have had through the years. We have been truly lucky for those that have blessed our lives! Go Patriots!!!

Who's That Cute Catcher?

Kennedy has had the chance to be the catcher in the last few softball games. She's not so sure she LOVES it, but as the saying goes "There is always a Williams behind the plate" (it's a well known saying in our house :))

You can't beat a pink mit!
This next picture is for you Uncle D-Bo....

She would make you proud. she's really improving. She really wants to pitch. She's learning, so hopefully she gets a chance!!

Nervous?

In Louis' class a few weeks ago they were learning about "American symbols" what they stand for and what they represent. His teacher gave them an assignment to create their own flags, to design it themselves and then tell what each symbol and color represents.

Louis' flag looked just like the American Flag but was colored in black, yellow and orange. In his words:

The black represents guns, the yellow represents fighters and yellow represents security.

Huh. I'm not sure how to take that. I wonder if it's from hearing about the war so much and "national security" and the things they say on KSL. I'm not sure. I do know that he is observant and asks a lot about what's going on in the world. He prays every night to "Protect the men and women in the army that they will fight well and come home to their families". What a sweet dude. I'm just not sure if this should make me nervous or not. Probably not. Right???

YIKES!!!

I know!! Scary!! KK has been dying to cut her hair again! So, against my will we told her that if she grew it out long enough to donate to "Locks Of Love" she could cut it! Well....she did.

Before
And after....

Pretty stinkin' cute, don't you think? She has great thick and pretty hair! Lucky girl.

I just can't believe how grown up she looks now. Aaaah!!

Overheard

I was helping like usual in Louis' class on Thursday afternoon. This cute girl named McKennah was "Star of the Week" in his class. They all sit in a circle and pass around a ball and each person says what they like about her. Really cute, funny answers sometimes. I just happened to hear a little girl say " I like McKennah because....she is wicked awesome". Uh, what?

Oh, How I Long For Lazy Days

Wow! It has been a whirlwind couple of weeks. May always is! End of the year stuff, programs, field trips, performances, etc. etc. Here's what we've been up to...

Field Trip to the Bean Museam (don't worry. If you haven't been there in the last 45 years, it hasn't changed. You're not missing a THING!!)

For Louis' class field trip we went to Kiwanis Park in Provo for a picnic and playing.

Here is his fun first grade class. His teacher is Mrs. Frampton. We love her. I am so sad that we won't have her in our kids lives anymore!!! She was KK's first grade teacher as well. LOVE HER!! She has helped my children in so many ways. Helped them to become better people, caring, kind, smart and helpful. She is really a fabulous teacher! It's going to be hard to top 1st grade for Lou.

Here's lou in front of the elephant display. (He was wearing his board shorts because it was "beach day" for spirit week!!)

Here's Louis and I waiting for the reptile show to start. Cute kid.

Here's what Cole was doing the.whole.time.

Just before we left. One more photo op with the Rhino....

Next, it was off to the "Hershey" track meet. Does anyone else think it's weird that a chocolate company sponsors a track meet? Just wondering. Kennedy had a ton of fun! It was fun to cheer her on and help cheer on all of her classmates! I am that loud lady that cheers for all of the kids. Especially the last one in the race! I actually got choked up on more than one occassion, just watching them try their hardest. They were darling.

Here's Cole and I at SHHS (salem hills high school) watching the meet! It was a great day!!

Here's KK killin' it in the 200m run. That's a long way for little people! She did really well. She ran in the 100m the 200m and did the softball throw!!

Here's the cute girls cheering on their team mates. They had all of these cute little cheers they were yelling! It's so fun to see your kids grow up and watch them interact with other kids. I'm proud of her for being a nice person and being a good girl!! Go sis!!

Here's KK and her wonderful (and beautiful) teacher Mrs. Nielson! We love her as well. My kids have been so lucky this year to have the BEST teachers!! Mrs. Nielson has taught Kennedy a lot about being responsible, independent (she didn't need much help there), and how to help others! Kennedy has learned a lot from Mrs. Nielson and will miss her very much! She loves her a lot!!

For spirit week, they had silly hat day. So. Louis wore daddy's graduation had from 9 years ago! Holy cow. I can't believe it's been that long that he's been out of school. Time flies!! We also had moms and muffins on this day! We ate muffins, drank juice, got a great mother's day present and got to hang out with the kids!! Thanks for a fun day, bud!

KK's class also had mom's and muffins and silly hat day! She wore her cute hat from Mexico that day! It's always fun to go to their classes and have one on one time with them! Love these kids!!!

On to the next spirit day! Today was "Carnivale" day. They are having a latin Carnivale tonight. So the kids were supposed to wear bright colors and just dress crazy! Think that's accomplished. What do you think???

I'm not saying I'm competitive, I just like to win!! *they're having a contest in each class for brightest, best dressed for King and Queen of the Carnivale*
We have a fun school with lots of great things for the kids to do!!

Thanks, you little stinkers!!

I just wanted to thank my little chitlins today. Thanks for making me a mommy! Thanks for making me the person that I am. Although sometimes, it's not a good thing, it's a growing, learning, challenging process and thank you for leading me down this new and adventurous path! Thanks for teaching me new ways of looking at things, to slow down and smell the roses, to think of others first. Thanks for the kisses and hugs and tears and laughter. I love you more than words can say! Thank you for helping me become a better person, someone that you might look up to some day. I love all three of you, more than I ever thought possible!

Thank you Ross for making me a mother. For helping me raise these wild, crazy, sweet, awesome children. Thank you for being my partner and being the "level headed" one. Thanks for listening to my ramblings and just laughing, not judging. You are the best thing that ever happened to me. You make me want to be a better person! I love you all!! Thanks for a wonderful life and mother's day!!

Cole's 2 year Old Pictures

I took Cole to Target to get his pictures taken for his birthday. They turned out great, I think! And thanks to the $3.99 a sheet and one free 8 by 10 coupon I found, it cost me exactly 20 dollars to get a ton of pictures. Pretty cute, don't you think??

My Beautiful Ballerina

Kennedy had her final dance recital of the school year last Thursday.

Isn't she cute?

Here's the dance. Forgive her, she had the giggles. What a funny girl. She's just getting to that age where everything is funny, especially when you're embarrassed. She's cute!

The Big Par-Tay

Sunday night we had the grandparents over for cake and ice cream. It was really fun, my grandma and her husband Rob even came. That was fun for the kids, we don't get to see them very often and my grandma has been really sick, so I'm glad we got to see them!!

Here's the big 2 year old with his train cake!!

This is what happens when I say "Cole look at mommy". Dang 2 year olds, anyway....

Cole and Great Grandma Lee

Kennedy visiting with G Grandma Lee and Rob.

Grandma T, Grandpa Don, Grandma Linda and Grandpa Peter.

My parents were there too, I swear. No pics, though.

The birthday boy chowing down on cake! That's an awesome face.

Checking out the new slide, white trash style. Socks and a diaper. Yea baby!!

Another special picture moment. Time for bed.

Much better. It doesn't get cuter than that! Happy day, Cole.

My Baby is Two! Yikes!

This day is freakin' me out! I can not believe by sweet little stinker pants is two. This is killing me. Since I know he is my last baby, I have been relishing every single moment and enjoying the things I forgot to enjoy with the older kids. I just can't believe I've been relishing for two years already! He's such a character. I can't stand it! He's yummy. I love to bite him (already been established) and kiss his cheeks and tickle him until he gets the hiccups and almost pukes. It's the best!! He's my little guy, he goes with me everywhere. I mean EVERYWHERE! Some days he spends the majority of the day in the car. He's such a good sport. I love this little guy more than words can say! He's my dudey pants. Love you Colie-o. Have a happy day!
Here's a few ( okay a lot more than a few. Sorry I couldn't choose) of my faves of Cole!!

His birthday present. He loves it!!

Cole's first haircut

First camping trip

First bath (starting to get teary eyed)

First food

Those feet....that's it I'm toast.

OOOH. I love slimy baby pics. Sorry if it grosses you out. These are his first breaths. Okay, I'm bawling now. Forgive me.

What a stud

I love this picture

What a stinkin' cutie! I love him. Happy day cole!
