Louis

Louis: Mom, I almost kicked this kids butt at the gym daycare.
Me: Why Louis, you should never kick kids butts.
Louis: Because he was choking Cole trying to get his toy away from him.
Me: Okay, if someone is choking Cole, you have full permission to kick his butt.
Louis: Nope, I think I will just defeat him with martial arts.

Seriously, where does he come up with this stuff??

Cole's Giggles

Grandpa Peter can always make Cole giggle!!

Do you ever have days like this?

This is what happens in the 5.3 seconds it takes me to go to the bathroom.

Seriously, enough already!!

The Parties go on forever around here! Louis turned 7 on Sunday the 25th. That morning, since we had early church, I let him decided what to have for dinner. That way, I had plenty of time to fix it and not as much stress in the morning. We usually let them decide what's for breakfast. So, right before breakfast, he opened his presents from mom and dad. He got: new bedroom stuff (a cute blanket for his bed, a curtain and wall decorations all in cowboy theme!!) wahoo. He couldn't have cared less. On to the more important stuff. wii games. He got m&m kart racing and some fun games like skee ball, basketball, darts etc. He was way more excited about those!!

The obligitory smile. Not so much in the excitement department.

Much more excited here!!!

Louis, with his birthday dinner. Clam chowder. Merilee thinks I have weird kids, I did not sway him at all. This is what he wanted!!
Next stop. Grandparents coming over for cake and ice cream and presents on the night of his birthday!!

Opening his gifts

My sad attempt at a treasure map cake. Seriously, usually I can pull it off and make it look somewhat decent. Oh well. He liked it. I attempted to make the edges look like an old map, weathered and torn. But, it just kind of looks like I messed up. Oh well.

The crowd!

Blowing out the candles. Wow, I can't believe he's 7!

Happy 7th Birthday, you stinky little monkey!

It's amazing to me, that 7 years ago today, this cute little bundle of poop came into our lives! It was an interesting time in our lives. Ross had just graduated from college and gotten the job he had always wanted, but, in order to have that job, we had to move to the oasis that is Price, Utah. I was devastated, depressed and otherwise, just having a rough time in my life. I had been born and raised in Orem. Lived there my whole life, knew just about everyone that lived there, as well. And, to be ripped out of that environment, very unwillingly, and placed in one that was not only unfamiliar, but quite foreign, wow! Not only did we move down there and didn't know anyone, Ross had to go to training for his job for 16 weeks. Wahoo. Alone, more. Needless to say, I needed this cute little baby more than I knew. Right after Louis was born, Ross again needed to leave for a month to serve security for the 2002 winter olympics. I was alone and had a 2 year old and a 5 day old. The first month or two of Louis is a crying, sleeping, sobbing mess. But, boy did that sweet little boy make it worth my while. He was the sweetest thing in the world, still is. Sensitive, caring, rough at times, but always caring about others more than himself. He is the funniest little dude, quite the sense of humor. I can't imagine my life without Louis in it! That bald head and those missing teeth, just kill me! He loves to snuggle, and be around us all the time!

Here are 7 things I love about Louis:

His zest for life!
His sense of humor!
He is a smart little fart when he wants to be
He is the best big brother EVER!
He loves to say "yes ma'am!"
He wants to be the best boy he know how!
He's mine!

Here are some funny pictures of Louis that I found. Have a happy day, Louis. We love you so much!!

SOME assembly required... HA!

So, we (I) decided that we need a new dining room table. So, Ross being the good husband that he is, bought me one! I love it and I am so excited to actually sit at it. That being said, we have had it since Saturday afternoon, and we (Ross) are still assembling the blasted thing!! Imagine with me if you will, one kitchen table, 8 chairs and 2 dressers, all in pieces in my front room....Not a pretty picture. He's a good sport and yesterday on his day off, he actually got everything put away and put together.
Hallelujiah! It's a beautiful thing. Although I will miss our old table. Lots of good times and fun family dinners were had here. Lots of restaurants, holding hands across the table, all of my babies sitting up here in their first little boosters, learning how to eat. Wow! I didn't realize that I was so emotional about a piece of furniture! But, if you think about it. This table has been in most of our family pictures that we take at the house, we ate at it 3 times a day. It's been a great little table. Funny, huh, that I am reminiscing about our little table that my parents gave to us the Christmas right before we got married!

Here's how she left us!!
She was a good one, just a chair too short for my cute family. Now we can all sit at the same table. That is if I allow the children to sit here!! Now, I'm crazy paranoid about letting anyone touch the thing!! Oh well. Welcome to our home, new table! I love her!!

It's kind of a bad picture, but I am really excited to make some new memories with our new table!

Funny story about how we sold our old table. We decided to list it on ksl.com. Well, I had never really done that before, and hadn't checked around much to see what our table would have been worth. So, we agreed on fifty bucks. So. I list it on ksl. About 3.2 seconds after I finish putting it up on the website I start getting phone calls. Apparently fifty bucks is a good deal. Who knew??? So, this cute little couple from provo calls and they have cash and want to come over right away! Great. Come on down. So, they pull up in their cute little Toyota Corolla, TO BUY A TABLE AND CHAIRS!! He he. So, they tell us that they just barely got married 2 weeks ago and have been eating off of a box and sitting on the floor. They were just this super cute byu couple and innocent as can be! So kind and sweet. How can you not just give it to them? But, we let them buy it for fifty bucks. Now, about getting it home. He had planned to turn it upside down and tie it to his roof and try and fit all four chairs plus the leaf in the back of his Corolla. Huh? Are you kidding me. Ross was dying. So, Ross decided to just put it on our trailor and take it back to Provo for them. What a good guy! So, we helped them out. It felt good to help someone out, even though, obviously we could have gotten more money out of it. You're welcome for saving peoples lives and not letting him attempt that silly maneuver in his Corolla. Hey, we do what we can!
